Jiupaojie Nature Reserve at the Thousand Island Lakes

Located 70 kilometers from the town of Qiandaohu (Thousand Island Lakes) is a scenic nature reserve called Jiu Pao Jie, which vividly describes the roaring sound of the nine waterfalls that rushes down the sides of the surrounding mountains. Within the reserve are also several natural villages where the locals lived for hundreds of years secluded from the outside world until the beauty of the area was discovered, and turned into a nature reserve and park in 2006. We’ll spend 2 nights inside this beautiful reserve. Besides hiking, there is also the option of doing a white water rafting trip down the river! So be prepared with your bathing suits!
